I
was born and raised in Galena, Illinois, in a family of 8 children. I have 2
children of my own, my daughter, Bryttney and my son, Hunter. Family has
always been a very important part of my life and I feel MD's Cooling and
Heating is a large extension to my family.
In 1994, I attended HVAC school in Dubuque, IA. I graduated with honors. After graduation, I decided to move to a warmer climate and chose Phoenix, AZ. Once I got here, I began working with a major air conditioning company in the valley. I worked there for 13 years and I loved the company I worked for. I found treating my customers with the utmost honesty and respect really made my job worth while. The customers I serviced began requesting to only have me do their maintenance and repairs every year. Those customers kept telling to me, “You should start your own company”. I let them know I was happy where I was at that time.
I was doing all the HVAC classes I could and became a “Arizona Heat Pump Counsel Master Heat Pump Technician”, NCI Carbon Monoxide Certified, NATE Certified, Trane Equipment Certified, Lennox Certified as well as many others. I take pride in knowing everything I can about the HVAC industry and continue to take classes to keep up on all the changes in technology.
When the company I worked for changed the way they did business, I felt that the customers I had been taking care of for so many years could no longer get the same service I prided myself on at a reasonable price, so I took their advice. I did my research, got my Register of Contractors License and all the other things that go along with an air conditioning and heating business. Then I opened with Miguel Rivas, Jr. what is now today, MD’s Cooling and Heating, LLC.
I can now offer my customers, as well as all future customers, the service they became accustom to for all those years at reasonable prices. Our mission as a company is to provide fast, dependable, courteous service at a reasonable cost but at the highest quality that you deserve. My motto has always been to treat all my customers as if they were my Grandma and that is what we based our company on.
